Our goal is to help our students balance both physical and mental development. We want all of our students to be well-rounded individuals. To do so, each month we focus on a new character word that will help our youthful students become better citizens. Having a strong character is an important part of leading a fulfilling life. We believe that having character is just as important as academic and athletic achievements.
This month, we will focus on RESPONSIBILITY.
This character trait can and must be taught.
Being responsible is an attitude, as well as, a skill.
Our goal is to provide your child with lessons that will help them become more responsible as a child.
We have designed some drills to help the students understand responsibility at every age level, as well as, weekly mat chats about the subject. These lessons will establish a solid foundation for the word: responsibility. In addition, these lessons will carry over into other areas of their life.
Children learn by repetition and these lessons will help them get into the habit of having responsibility.
You can help by fostering responsibility at home. If you are a responsible parent, the battle is half won. The other half is having them follow our footsteps.
Here are some suggestions:
Make sure you accomplish tasks in a timely manner. If you are consistently late, then your child will not see the importance of being on time.
Always keep your word. If you make promises that you cannot keep, then your child will not understand the value of keeping their word.
Give projects your best effort. If you try hard at the task at hand, then your child will see that effort is important.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to watching our youthful students build the skill of RESPONSIBILITY.
